If you study at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, you can take M3 Metro from Preciziei Station, situated next to the campus and get off at Eroilor Station, which is very close to the University.

If you study at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest or at the University of Journalism and Communication, you can take M3 Metro from Preciziei station and get off at Politehnica station, which is close to both universities.

If you study at The University of Bucharest, you can take M3 Metro from Preciziei station, get off at Piata Unirii 1 Station in order to change lines with M2 at Piata Unirii 2 Station and then get off at Universitate station.

If you study at the Academy of Economic Studies, you can take M3 Metro from Preciziei station, get off at Piata Unirii 1 Station in order to change lines with M2 at Piata Unirii 2 Station and then get off at Piata Romana Station.

Moreover, you can also visit the Management Office. It is open Monday, from 10 am to 5 pm and Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

West Gate Studios is a campus that accommodates up to 1,650 residents of different nationalities. Everybody is part of a unique and lively community, created in order to promote national values and multiculturalism. West Gate Studios residents must be at least 18 years old and 30 years old at most. Any exception from this rule must be discussed with the Business Manager.

West Gate Studios is the perfect choice for young people who want a safe place to stay, but, more than that, a community to be part of. Therefore, the campus includes in its package of services: accommodation, library and study room, cleaning service for health safety, security services, Wi-Fi internet, medical subscription to private clinic Medicover and last but not least, swimming pool.

West Gate Studios includes three buildings, with multiple levels, 11 floors each, which include a total number of 745 studios of two types:

All rooms have two beds, thus they can accommodate two persons.

Each Studio includes the following standard equipment: 2 beds, 2 desks with 2 chairs, 2 closets, specific furniture for kitchen space, an electric hotplate, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a TV with cable, Internet and air conditioning, curtains and drapes, as well as a shower bath.

Each Junior Suite includes the following standard equipment: two beds, one desk with chair (with the possibility to add another set), one couch with two armchairs, a three doors closet for clothes, specific furniture for kitchen area, a table with two chairs, an electric hob, a microwave oven, a fridge, coffee table, a TV with cable TV and air conditioning, curtains and drapes, as well as a shower bath.

Residents who apply for a place in both a Studio room and a Junior Suite room receive a monthly fixed rental price. The price is unique, includes the entire package of services and has no additional costs.

A young professional is less than 30 years old. In order to live on campus, a young professional must sign a rental contract for both places in any type of room (Studio and Junior Suite) for the entire one-year contractual period.

Young professionals who apply for living in both a Studio room and a Junior Suite room receive a monthly fixed rental price. The price is unique, includes the entire package of services and has no additional costs.

Yes, there are other costs, such as the deposit/guarantee.

Besides the rent, residents must pay a deposit/guarantee. The value of this deposit/ guarantee depends on the housing type and the number of places you request.

- RON equivalent of EUR 300 euros/per rented place, or 600 euros for the entire room, for residents who choose a Studio room;

- RON equivalent of EUR 480 euros/per rented place, or 840 euros for the entire room, for residents who choose a Junior Suite room;

Mentions:

- The deposit/guarantee must be paid in one installment, together with the rent for the entire one-year contractual period.

Upon the expiration of the lease contract, within 60 days following the check out, the deposit/guarantee is given back (in the case there are no unfulfilled obligations and no damages done to the room)

Other charges:

a) the charge for additional services (washing machine in the room, parking place, laundry package or premium Internet services);

b) if damage to the equipment of the room or common use area is found, these will be charged in accordance with the contract.

West Gate Studios invoices are to be paid as it follows:

A. Cash

At the WGS cashier desk (no commissions), from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At any bank counter of BRD, Alpha Bank or BCR

Note: For payment at the bank counters, you must present your West Gate Studios receipt. Please keep your receipt.

B. Payment Order

Please mention your client code on the Payment Order in order to direct the payment to your account.

C. Online with a personal card through the "Internet banking" service, which is processed directly in the WGS portal personal account.

Rental requests made ​​by new tenants for the following year can be submitted beginning with the 1st of July. They are processed as they are submitted, first-come, first-served. There is no deadline for submitting requests for rental; activities can be halted only after all places are booked.

In order to live at West Gate Studios you must follow the next steps:

Fill in the "Renting form" and press the "Send" button.

Your request will be answered within 48 hours via e-mail. In the case of an affirmative answer, you will receive an invoice which represents the rental price for the entire contractual period and deposit.

The invoice must be paid within five working days. Should the proforma invoice remain unpaid after five working days, your request will be canceled and you will have to start the booking process again.

On the day the payment is confirmed in our system, you will receive the invoice and the rental contract via e –mail. You can also download these documents from the Portal.

Your room is booked, you will receive an e-mail stating the date when you can move in. The contract will be signed in the WGS managing office, upon your arrival in Bucharest.

Every year, we organize the renewal campaign for residents who wish to extend their contracts with West Gate Studios for another year. During this campaign, residents can benefit from special prices and can be guaranteed to keep the same place in the same room.

In order to extend your contract you must follow the steps below:

Access WGS Portal at https://info.westgatestudios.ro/. 

Fill in and send the rental request.

If your request is approved, you will receive a proforma invoice that must be paid before the due date mentioned on the document.

When the payment is confirmed in our system, you will receive the invoice and the rental contract for the next academic year. The contract will be signed when you arrive in Bucharest.

Note: If you cannot extend your contract during the special offer time, you can do it after, however, not being able to benefit from the special prices and only depending on availability.

If you access it for the first time or you lost the password, please follow the steps below:

If you access the portal for the first time, you must request a password. Just click “New Password”.

The system will issue a password after you fill in your e-mail address and the resident’s password.

The e-mail address must be the same you used in the contract and in the rental form, and the resident’s password (the client code) can be found on any invoice. For extra help, please press “Hint”.

The password you will receive via e-mail cannot be modified, but you can always request a new one, should you lose or forget it.

You can now log in as often as you please using your e-mail address and the password you received.

Note: The WGS portal is available after starting the rental contract.

The booking is secured after the payment of the invoice and signing the rental contract.

The check-in process takes place according to a program announced on the e-mail address provided at the booking of your place in the campus.

The check-in is very important as a detailed report regarding the state of the room must be filled in. You must know that every tenant is responsible for the space he/she lives in and when you check-out, you must leave the room in the same state you found it.

Unfortunately we are not able to check you in, should you arrive earlier.

We are fully booked during the contractual year and we need several days before the new year to prepare the rooms for the new tenants.

Yes, you can arrive later. In this case, please inform us regarding the exact date of your arrival.

You need very few additional objects. Your room is fully furnished and equipped. It includes a TV set, a fridge, air conditioning, electric hob, and microwave oven etc. You can find the entire list at questions 7, 8 and 9 and by clicking the following link: http://www.westgatestudios.ro/locuinte

You will need:

• bed linen, pillows and blanket
• towels and napkins
• cookware, cutlery, glasses
• laundry detergent and dish washing detergent
• food

All contracts are signed for a period of 11 months and 10 days, during the academic year, between October 1st and September 10th of the next year.

Applications whose rental deadline expires before 10.09 shall not be admissible.

In order to have the new address of residence mentioned on your ID, the first step is to visit the Management Office in order to receive the original copy of the contract, signed and stamped. The second step is to go to the 21st Police Precinct, next to Gorjului Metro Station (No. 37 Dezrobirii Street, 6th District) with the contract, both the original copy and a photocopy of it, your ID and the receipt from the Postal Office (that attests the fact that you paid the counter-value of the extra-judicial stamp tax – RON 5).

West Gate Studios includes the following commercial areas and recreational spaces:

- an open-air space organized with grills for various leisure activities;

- laundry shop, on the ground floor of B2 Building

Increased security: 24/7 video surveillance and guarding services.

Residents can rent a washing machine for the whole period of contract; this appliance will be installed by WGS technical staff (it is forbidden to bring your own washing machine).

Residents who do not wish to have a washing machine in their rooms can choose to wash their items at the West Gate Laundry, situated on the ground floor of B2 building. The Laundry is open from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, but there is also a self service available, 24/7. 

Internet access is included in the contract and covers all rooms, as well as all public spaces in WGS (Multifunctional reading and study rooms, restaurant).

You can get both Wi-Fi and wired internet to connect to the Internet.

To connect to cable Internet:

Connect your laptop to the wall socket data via the blue / gray network cable that you can find in your room and you will benefit from the following features:

Download speed: between 2Mbps and 4Mbps / Upload speed: 1Mbps

To connect to WiFi:

Connect your laptop to the floor-specific Wi-Fi network and the building you live in.

There are two IT experts in the West Gate Studios that can help in internet issues.

For those who wish to navigate at superior speed (10 Mbps): you can request, upon connection or anytime on the Portal, to activate the Internet Premium option, and you will benefit from an internet connection with the following characteristics:

Download speed: between 10Mbps and 100Mbps u/ Upload speed: 2Mbps

Also, the reading room and the multifunctional room include access to wireless internet connection through a password, which can be provided by staff at the receptions of buildings B1 and B2.

Residents can study in the reading rooms provided on the ground floor of buildings B1 and B2. Reading rooms can be used around the clock, according to the first-come, first-served principle. It is forbidden to leave personal belongings in the reading rooms, to sleep there over the night or party.

Those who refuse to comply with these rules will be granted no more access to the reading rooms and will be charged with additional cleaning fee.

Any document can be printed at the reception of building B1.

We have about 350 parking spaces, both outside and underground which can be requested for an additional charge.

There are two bicycle racks next to B1 and B2 buildings. Their use is free of charge.

All matters related to the management of residential housing units, endowments and related equipment must be announced immediately. Any request for intervention in the room for repairs or replacement must be sent directly to the Administrative Office, or online via Portal, which can be accessed from the website https://info.westgatestudios.ro/

Requests for maintenance and repairs that are not urgent are solved in maximum 2-3 days.

In the unwanted event of emergencies - such as a flood, a broken shower, a room door that does not lock, etc. – you should call the Administration Office or, outside office hours, the personnel from the building you live.

All interventions for maintenance and repairs are performed by the qualified personnel of the Campus that must identify themselves with special IDs.

If you submit a referral, it means that you allow the maintenance staff to enter the room / your apartment for the maintenance / repair required.

The West Gate Administration has a chart of administration and maintenance work, which is continuously updated and implemented so that residential buildings are maintained in very good conditions.

Any requests for repair, replacement or addition of objects that occur as a result of their wear after normal use at the end of their normal life are free of charge. Interventions to solve faults in the operation of equipment and machinery serving the residential buildings, as well as cleaning and sanitation services performed before entering the living space are also free of charge.

Any requests for repair, replacement or addition of objects that occur as a result of inappropriate use or negligent use are surcharged. Any damage resulted from inappropriate usage of the space is to be paid by residents (including damage to the walls due to the use of adhesives or nails). It is forbidden to remove any item of furniture or equipment from the room.

Upon completion of the required work, the resident will sign a paper that states that everything was done in accordance with the request, and its value will be found on the invoice.

You can always contact the Resident Assistants. They have an important role in the administration of West Gate campus. Resident Assistants have experience in these matters and are trained to solve conflicts, emergency issues and first aid situations, being permanently at the disposal of other residents in order to guide and advise them.

According to the health subscription to Medicover, residents can benefit from the following medical services:

• Emergency Hot Line (021/310.40.40) - open 24/7 and staffed by Medicover medical personnel who are there to answer your questions and provide help and advice in case of urgent or emergency care.

• Emergency medical consultations – in case of medical emergencies, you can be treated at Medicover, West Gate Park clinic (for emergencies that do not require an ambulance or checking-in)

• Family doctor – the Medicover team includes 6 family doctors. Students can subscribe to either one of them.

• General practitioners – students can make free-of-charge appointments to primary and continuing medical care.

• One set of laboratory blood tests – that includes 12 basic tests that offer a clear image on the general state of health of the patient: complete blood count, lipid profile, serum creatinine, serum glucose, GPT, urine analysis (sediment, biochemical)

West Gate Studios Campus is famous for the increased security levels it provides: 24/7 video surveillance and guarding services. Smoking and pets are not allowed inside the housing units.
